In 2016, Mike Hodgdon and Bob Preman (then 2 Nice Guys, Inc.) rebuilt a set of stairs in Fort Myers Beach. They went beyond code: deeper-set posts, oversized framing, and heavy-duty concrete.
In 2022, Hurricane Ian hit. The home was destroyed. But the stairs? Still standing—upright, untouched, and inspiring.
Locals called it “The Stairway to Heaven.” News stories featured the stairs as a symbol of resilience.
